Understanding the IEEE 802.16d Standard: WiMAX Range Explained

The IEEE 802.16d standard, also known as WiMAX, typically supports a range of up to 30 miles (approximately 48 kilometers) in a line-of-sight scenario. However, in non-line-of-sight conditions, the range can be significantly reduced, often to between 3 to 10 miles (about 5 to 16 kilometers), depending on various environmental factors and obstacles.
