With basic public networking. You are able to use your equipment on the public internet. Most public routers have what you call a DMZ or Demilitarized Zone, when you turn this on in your router, anyone or anything can access an item or a computer on your network. You only need to plug in the IP address of the device that you want the public to see, if it is your computer. Go to a website such as “whatismyip.com” to find out your public IP address. To find out what your network assigned to you privately click on the start button and select CMD and type “ipconfig” in the black box that shows up.One you are there you would look for an IPv4 address. Please note, outside of the US, you may see the IPv6 address instead. Once you enter your private IP address in your router, the outside world will have access to your device.
